Welcome to the Leadership Learning Partners Charter School WDPLLPCS is a unique school where "learning to lead" happens. Our school was founded by Dr. Walter D. Palmer, upon the premise that students (as well as parents and teachers) will become leaders through education in social justice, self-development, academics, enrichment and technology. Our school is a laboratory for producing leaders. It is the ultimate aim of this school to empower students to become problem solvers for the ills that plague their communities. Parents are expected to serve as partners in the educational experiences provided for their children. The Leadership Curriculum is the vehicle through which students become equipped to transition into the broader society. The MADD program, Music, Art, Drama and Dance, along with a Foreign Language, enhance each student's learning experience. Student success is encouraged at every level. Data obtained from the assessment of student performance is the guiding principle for program decisions and instruction. The needs of the whole child are met through a comprehensive in-house social support program that complements our leadership curriculum. An active board of trustees, parent council and management team work with the school staff to provide input and support so that the academic skills development and leadership preparedness outcomes are realized. It is the vision of this school to develop leaders at all levels. Our mission is to have Leadership Learning Partners Charter School become a community of leaders dedicated to training the adult stakeholders to demonstrate their own leadership skills through the development of academic achievement in their children. Our instructional mission is to provide positive inspiration to students empowering them to become models for our student body and extended family. |
